Project: Strensham Sewage Treatment Works

The Strensham Water Treatment Works is currently undergoing a significant upgrade project managed by Severn Trent Water, with Coffey Construction UK serving as a key contractor.
Advanced were engaged to supply their EasyPIT ULTRA Access Chamber System together with EasyGRIP Composite Covers in 1500x1500mm, 1200x1200mm, 1200x600mm, 900x600mm and 600x600mm clear openings.
The construction at Strensham is part of a larger improvement programme to address water quality and infrastructure resilience. Key elements of the current work include:
UV Treatment Installation: Construction and commissioning of a new Ultra-Violet (UV) disinfection plant to replace outdated equipment.
Main Replacement: Replacement of the “1400 main” and associated pipework to resolve long-standing air entrainment issues.
Capacity & Resilience: Upgrading the contact tank and high-lift pump sumps to ensure a reliable supply for the thousands of properties served by the works.
