Project: Advanced is proud to have supplied its EasyPIT Ultra access chamber system to another prestigious UK infrastructure project – Sizewell C, the new twin-reactor nuclear power station currently under construction on the Suffolk coast.
Once operational, Sizewell C will generate around 3.2 GW of low-carbon electricity, providing enough power for approximately 6 million homes for at least 60 years. Following its final investment decision, the project is backed by a consortium including the UK Government, EDF, Centrica and institutional investors, with construction costs estimated at around £38 billion.
Working closely with our trusted supply chain partners and engaging directly with one of the project’s key infrastructure contractors, Advanced was able to demonstrate the technical and commercial advantages of the EasyPIT Ultra system.
By delivering significant commercial cost savings and substantially reduced lead times compared with alternative access chamber solutions, Advanced enabled the installation programme to be accelerated, helping the contractor maintain critical project milestones while reducing overall programme risk.
