Project: The Swansea North 400kV Substation, commissioned by National Grid, is a state-of-the-art facility developed to transfer demand from the existing Swansea North 275kV substation. The project encompassed the design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and successful energisation of the new 400kV GIS substation.
Advanced was engaged to provide a solution for the cable access chambers and associated access covers. Following consultation on the project’s technical requirements, Advanced supplied its EasyPIT Ultra chamber system, together with D400 ductile iron covers and FACTA D fabricated steel covers, delivering a robust, compliant, and durable access solution for this critical power project.
